HarTrain stands for Harness Training. You use your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability – all the while with the body suspended in air.

There are 16 types of Fitness Goals that can be achieved by applying a permutation and combination of eight training modalities. Body weight training is one of these eight. Aerially suspended body weight training falls within this modality.

We have combined elements of weight training, functional training and harness training with a view to develop a platform which will ultimately include simple elements of Malkhamb.

HarTrain  –

  • offers a quick, effective total body workout
  • stabilises and strengthens the core
  • exercises can be performed by exercisers of all ages
  • HarTrain can be performed indoors or outdoors – a veritable portable gym!

This short course – Module 2.08 – is part of the Mumbai University Certificate Course for Personal Fitness Trainers (CCPFT).

This short specialist course is approved by International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) – USA for 7 CEUs.

HarTrain is also a popular stand-alone course. You can attend it without enrolling to CCPFT.

Student Eligibility

Student –

  1. Must have passed 10 years of School Education
  2. Must be physically and medically fit
  3. Must have passion for fitness / sport
  4. Physically Challenged persons can apply if they have exposure to fitness / sport
  5. BEFORE FINAL EXAMINATION, must attend and be certified in First Aid & CPR with AED
  6. Course delivery is bilingual, however students ought to have working knowledge of English

Knowledge Delivery

Currently HarTrain is BEING OFFERED AS BLENDED COURSE – that is, it comprises:

  1. Online WEBINARS (face-to-face) supported with training videos
  2. GUIDED home study / practice
  3. Home ASSIGNMENTS

Fee

If you are enrolling to only Ira specialist course, the fee is ₹3,000* including –

  • Gayo certificate,
  • eBOOK and
  • nearly 80 exercises

*FEE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. GST AS APPLICABLE. CHECK FEE PRIOR TO ENROLMENT.

Note: HarTrain fee is included in the CCPFT fee. Students enrolled to CCPFT do not pay additionally for HarTrain.

Examination

Course End Assessment

  • Theory: 25 MCQs that will cover the Science of Strength Training: Maximum marks: 50
  • Practical Teaching: Maximum marks: 50

Student has to teach one of the following groups –

  • Warm-up
  • Stretches
  • Strength Exercises
  • Cool Down

Total number of Learning hours

Course duration: Total 50 hours

  • Online face-to-face: 02 hours
  • Home Study & Practice: 40 hours
  • In-person Training: 08 hours

This short course which helps personal trainers and other fitness professionals add value to their clients. It is approved as an important part of the University of Mumbai Certificate Course for Personal Fitness Trainers (CCPFT) syllabus.
Whether nationally and / or internationally respected, what matters more is the knowledge the short course delivers and the students’ ability to deliver or apply those professional skill sets to clients! It is currently approved for 7 CEUs for ISSA certificate renewals.
