Participants should possess a sound understanding of exercise physiology, kinesiology, and the exercise sciences, enabling them to apply the concepts taught within the clinic safely and effectively in practice.
Ideally, applicants should hold a recognised Level 3 or Level 4 Personal Training qualification and/or an appropriate graduate or postgraduate qualification in a related discipline.
Equivalent qualifications and relevant professional experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
This clinic is best suited to practitioners seeking to enhance their ability to assess clients comprehensively, identify potential risk factors, and implement evidence-informed strategies to reduce injury risk while optimising exercise participation and performance.
First Aid, CPR and AED Requirement
To be eligible for final certification, participants must successfully complete and obtain certification in Emergency First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) before the final assessment. This requirement helps ensure that graduates are prepared to respond appropriately to common medical emergencies that may arise during fitness, exercise, and sports activities.
